Biography
Tabi Crentsil is the contemporary artist without boundaries. He employs a dynamic combination of concepts and subjects, emotion and vision. His art, as a whole, is distinguished by the lack of organised principles, uniformity or ideology which characterizes his contemporaries. He is prolific in varied media, though with acrylic being most prominent. He paints semi abstracted figures and scenes with brushes, rollers and the artist pallet knife to create bold paintings. Although he draws inspiration largely from his environment, he is not limited to just what he sees but is informed by the ever-evolving socio-economic lifestyle of society. His work depicts everything around him. Tabi exhibited his works extensively at prominent venues including Tiga Art Gallery, Sankofa Gallery, Golden Tulip, Artist Alliance Gallery, Achimota Gulf Club, Melcom Plus, X'men and Labadi Beach Hotel. Some of his works can be seen in corporate offices, banks, exclusive hotels, restaurants and many private homes. You'll also find some of his murals at offices, a university and beach resorts. A few of Tabi's works adorn the cover of a number of magazines and journals. In recent times, Tabi organised the first ever painting exhibition where anybody, with help and instruction, made their own paintings within the exhibition. A truly innovative and exciting interactive exhibition concept. Tabi holds a degree from the KNUST and a masters from Cape Coast University
